Doyle Antle

Doyle Antle

Executive Director

As a member of Buckner Villas senior leadership team, Roy Doyle Antle has served with Buckner senior living communities for 21 years.  He started as Director of Nursing in 1997 before transitioning to Executive Director in 2003.  Antle completed his Registered Nurse program in 1980, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1994, a Master of Organizational Management in 1996, and became a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator in 2000.

“I believe that having a nursing degree established a great foundation for my responsibilities as Executive Director. Health, wellbeing and happiness are always impacting the lives of senior adults we serve. Understanding how all the pieces come together is a great combination for success.”

Paul Clark

Director of Marketing and Sales

Paul Clark has served with the senior leadership team at Buckner since 2002. He served in various positions and wore several different “hats” before transitioning into the role of Director of Marketing and Sales.

“I never knew any of my own grandparents, so I’ve enjoyed many “adopted” grandparents here.  It’s an honor to be part of residents’ lives.  We realize that a potential transition to our community is a big decision and not something to be taken lightly.”

Erica Schmidt

LCSW, Resident Services Coordinator

Erica has served with Buckner’s senior living staff since 2011.  She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.  Her career includes work in long-term care, and she currently serves as president of the Greater Austin Social Workers.

“My enthusiasm for working with senior adults stems from my respect for the full and unique lives people lead and my fervor to ensure no person is ever ignored no matter their age.”

Kenneth Harpster

Chaplain

Kenneth has served as Chaplain at Buckner Villas for the last 17 years; however, his time with Buckner began long before that, when Harpster and his wife served as house parents at Buckner Boy’s Ranch from 1977-1983.  Harpster went to Howard Payne University where he received a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Religion, after which he earned a Master of Religious Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has held several ministerial and educational positions at various churches and Christian schools.

“I love working with senior adults because they are fun, loving, easy-going, wise, ready to try things, living life to the full, gracious, glad there is a chaplain, kind, considerate, caring, have great stories, grateful, and encouragers.  I could continue.  I love what I do and that I even get paid for it.  Life is great!”

Richard Ray

Food Service Director

Richard has served with Buckner’s senior living staff since 2010. Prior to joining Buckner Villas, he worked 10 years as a regional manager for a restaurant chain in Kansas City, Mo., six years as a food service director for Truman Medical Center and holds a collective 18 years of experience in long-term care food service.

“I enjoy the opportunity to provide a varied and exciting dining experience for senior adults. The overall food service experience plays a significant role in senior adult health, and it’s an honor for me to get to be part of that vision.”

Julie Cervantes

Director of Nursing

Julie joined the Buckner family in 2018.  She has been a nurse for 20 years and worked as a director of nursing in long-term care for 12 years.

“I fell in love with the family-like setting of senior living communities and the joy of being personally involved in residents’ lives.  Helping them progress in rehab and enhancing their quality of life is my favorite part of this job.”

Cindy Ramones

Director of Administrative Services

Cynthia Ramones has served as the Director of Administrative Services at Buckner Villas for 9 years. She works with both the Business Office and Human Resources department at Buckner Villas. Ramones’ favorite part of her job is that it gives her the opportunity to get to know and assist the residents and employees.

“In my role here at Buckner Villas it is a pleasure to be able to assist employees, residents and their family members with many different situations.”
